Keeping Things Light With The Cypher Mydas
Cheyne Lempe, notorious for always being on a big wall, shares his thoughts about the Cypher Mydas carabiner.
"For some, a climbing-equipment-weight-reduction obsession may seem slightly ridiculous on single-pitch climbs or shorter length routes. However, I have learned from climbing first ascents in Patagonia and solo big-wall pushes in Yosemite that the energy spent carrying excess weight for an extended amount of time is significant. The weight that I save while using the Cypher Mydas wire gate carabiner allows me to push myself higher, harder, and faster.
The two main factors that I use when deciding which carabiners to use are weight and clip-a-bility. Weighing in at 24 grams with a strength rating of 23kn, the Mydas is one of the lightest carabiners on the market. The spring tension of the gate is easy to clip, yet is stiff enough to prevent an accidental opening of the gate. The overall size is just big enough so that you won't fumble with gloves on."

The Cypher Logic is a full-leather shoe with a comfortable synthetic liner that cinches down perfectly on any foot with a lace system that reaches down to the toes.
The Logic, in all its sturdiness, was designed with the approach, scramble, and descent in mind. In no way is the Logic limited to being just an approach shoe for rock climbing. It crosses over to many different applications like general hiking, walking around town, and even long-boarding.

New Shoes: Cypher Logic
The Cypher Logic is a full-leather shoe with a comfortable synthetic liner that cinches down perfectly on any foot with a lace system that reaches down to the toes.
The Logic, in all its sturdiness, was designed with the approach, scramble, and descent in mind. In no way is the Logic limited to being just an approach shoe for rock climbing. It crosses over to many different applications like general hiking, walking around town, and even long-boarding.
The Logic is equipped with a sticky sole made of Cypher Enigma rubber as well as an Enigma rubber toe rand, similar to that of most rock climbing shoes.
A number of Liberty Mountain employees have been putting these kicks through the ringer and have said that they perform great in many different situations. One employee even went out on a three-mile run while wearing the Logic and said that they substituted well in place of traditional running shoes. We've seen these shoes snapping up ollies on skateboards, topping out on moderate climbing routes, and peddling hard on mountain bikes.
