Paddling the Susquehanna River

To beat the crowds that invade our region during the Little League World Series every year, our Pennsylvania staff spent a night paddling on the Susquehanna River.

Unusually high water and surprisingly low summer temperatures meant that almost all of us stayed in our boats the entire time, and paddling upstream took slightly longer than usual. Sales Rep Wes Shaffer rode on a SUP for the first time, and didn’t even fall in.

Our lone soaked paddler was surprised by a current early on and spent the rest of the evening relying on senses other than sight after his eyeglasses took a plunge. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening that ended with a great sunset.

Much thanks to Country Ski & Sports for providing the boats and Kevin’s expert guidance.  We all can’t wait to do it again, soon.
